A poll released Wednesday shows that most Americans continue to loath Congress.

According to a Gallup poll, only about 19% of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing. And that is actually an improvement from August, where 14% of Americans said they approve of Congress.

Gallup reported that Congress’ approval rating has exceeded the current 19% “on only a few occasions over the last three years, a span that includes the all-time low ratings of 10% in February 2012 and August 2012.”

Congress’ approval rating sits at 33% since Gallup began asking the question in 1974.

President Obama’s approval rating in also near all-time lows for his presidency, currently at 45%.

Watching your dog -looked at the national debt lately? Has gone up more than a trillion per year -now almost 18 rillion- the smoke and mirror game.

Experts say actually the real debt is closer to 56 trillion.

Me, I give Congress a thumbs up. Yes, I know that is not the popular view because the people in this country want there freebies. Thus the poll numbers.

It is the people that have screwed this country up not the congress. Thankfully we elected a good bunch of new congressman in the last election that has stopped all the spending..

The Gridlock is just what this country needed to get our fiscal house in order.

The goofy liberals still want to spend, spend, spend.

When you get right down to it, the congress is doing just exactly what we elected them to do.

STOP THE SPENDING!

Dislike the Congress all you want but from my perspective they have stopped Obama/Reed/Pelosi from totally destroying our country.

@watchdog-get rid of Reed and Polisi and congress might become functional again. We will have to wait to do something about the presidency although he is certainly starting to self destruct. It is just a matter of time.

You folks complain but you are the ones that put them in office. Why don’t you start voting for the guy/gal at your coffee table. That is what I do.

I have NOT voted for an incumbent in a very long time.

Oh and so we keep this fair, when I went to the Democratic Convention as a delegate once, I checked the roster to see what the wealth of the individual delegates were. I was astonished to find 67% of the delegates were filthy rich. As a working stiff I had to borrow money to go.

It was all a phoney experience so I came home and registered as an Independent.

you are so right!

What a waste of money congress spends of our tax money and as far as Obama goes he should have been packing his bags and moving a long time ago.

What a waste of money you are righ

Been crooks forever – WHY CHANGE NOW !

42% of CONGRESS MEMBERS are filthy rich – theY spend more time per day scoping the stock market than they do working for the joe blow private citzen that pays their CUSHY salary and benefits- (FAT CATS) like all the other fat cat public servants raping the private sector – HARSH WORDS but THE TRUTH !
