MASON CITY – Police have issued a citation to a Mason City man whose dog attacked 4 people at a North End home.
Valentine Louie Flores, 37, of 17 9th Street NW was cited for simple misdemeanors of vicious animal, animal at large, and no current city animal license after his pit bull dog attacked 4 people at that location in the early morning hours of March 2nd.
All four victims of the attack are family of Flores. An elderly woman required several hours of surgery and sustained serious arm injuries. Another young man also had surgery for a severed tendon, sources said.
Police indicated that the tan male pit bull has bitten in the past, as recently as February 21st, and is now in quarantine.
any dog can be dangerous LVS. My mon had a chihuahua you didn’t dare try to pick up if he was on the couch!! Helen Keller, Teddy Roosevelt both owned pit bulls. The MOST decorated dog in WW2 was a pit bull!! they are just as living as the owner wants to make them. Certain people should not own them and everyone knows who those two cultures are!!!!!!
When did Val Sr get out of prison, and has he been exposing that dog to meth labs? I see Val Jr is in jail right now for dealing weed, wonder when they will let him transition into the family business and start moving the white stuff.

ANY animal can be dangerous when its trained that way! This guy is a freaking looser who decided to leave the scene instead of helping his own family! PATHETIC!!
Including the most injured being his own Mother! Hopefully she’ll wake up and stop allowing the behavior in her home that preceded this incident and others. If that were my son he’d be kicked to the curb until he could act like a decent person. Obviously she gave up control of this guy in her home yrs. ago.
This guy has been in trouble for one thing or another all of his life. He is a lifetime loser and really doesn’t care about anything. He will get a slap on the hands and a fine that he won’t pay anyway and the dog will get put down. Some people have no business owning a animal and this is one. Especially a potentially dangerous dog like a Pit Bull.
