MASON CITY – The NIACC women’s basketball team returns to action Saturday in a home ICCAC contest against Iowa Lakes.
Game time is set for 1 p.m. in the NIACC gym.
NIACC (8-8 overall, 1-2 in the ICCAC) dropped a 66-57 decision to Iowa Central at Fort Dodge on Wednesday. Freshman Lashae Brooks (Nett Lake, Minn.) led the Lady Trojans with 19 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots.
Freshman guard Lateeka Thompson (Burnsville, Minn.) averages 13.8 points (3rd in ICCAC) to lead the Lady Trojans.
Also for the Lady Trojans, freshman guard Chelsey Jacox (Plymouth, Minn.) averages 12.1 points per game and Brooks averages 11.3 points per game.
Iowa Lakes (6-12, 2-3) dropped a 57-48 decision to Ellsworth on Wednesday.
Myangel Johnson (Los Angeles, Calif.) averages 10.8 points per game (9th in ICCAC) to lead the Lakers.
