Obama marks anniversary of September 11th attacks

President Obama marks the eleventh anniversary of the September 11th attacks by remembering the innocent lives lost, and honoring the first responders and men and women in uniform who have served and sacrificed to keep our country safe.

In the difficult years following the attacks, the United States has come back stronger as a nation, decimated the leadership of al-Qaeda, ensured that Osama bin Laden will never attack America again, and strengthened our alliances across the world.

The President has signed a proclamation making Friday, September 7 through Sunday, September 9, 2012 National Days of Prayer and Remembrance.

Obama is a true American hero. You get my vote Good sir.

Tell me what he’s done that makes him a hero.

Katie, how about protecting women’s rights? I can’t believe you’re not embarrassed to admit you want women going back to back alleys to terminate pregnancies. Are you willing to adopt a few unwanted kids, or at least provide tax money for welfare so they can eat? Didn’t think so.

How about not having sex instead of killing the baby?

“maybe”, I think we’ll call you “Mr. Realist”. Tongue in cheek, of course.

Randy,
Do you think that President Obama made the Democratic platform? Perhaps the Democratic party did. And I think the President has enough on his plate that the platform wasn’t his top priority. When he found out that God wasn’t part of it, he INSISTED God’s name be added. And for your information, the Tea Party is not a name given to a group of conservative Republicans. It is a term they created to describe themselves. Their intent to was reference the Boston Tea Party which was a central part of the American Revolution. They call themselves Tea Partiers, Teabaggers, the Tea Party.

This guy right above me? Another very smart Democrat!

Maybe…this killing babies thing is getting very old. No one in the rep or dem party favores killing babies. No one in the dem party is encouraging women to terminate a pregnancy. Most dem believe that a women has a constitutional right to do with her body what she wants…choice. There are so many other important issues that face the American people that freedom of choice should be a non-issue. Freedom of choice is almost 40 years old now. It is time to get over it and look at the other issues. You and I both know that not having sex isn’t going to happen. The use of contraceptives is the answer but the rep. are against that too.

You brought up abortion, the extremist is Obama who voted as a state senator against the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act. Stop and think, a baby survives the abortion procedure and is breathing and in need of help, the baby is surrounded by healthcare professionals and this guy was not in favor of helping the baby. He is the extremist. Go look up his record and you will find it. Maybe you are in favor of infantcide but IMO that is sick. The Dem platform does not exclude partial birth abortion. Congress passed a law against it, it was challenged by abortion advocates and The Supreme Court in 2007 chose to uphold the law. Consistent polling shows 2/3 of people are against partial birth abortion so what I’m pointing out is this party has become extreme in many ways. The way happyguy so staunchly is in favor of the Dem party makes me wonder if she is in favor of all they are doing or if she even knows some of the things they appear to be in favor of.

If you know your history, Darwin came up with the theory of evolution yet a few years later he proved that evolution couldn’t happen yet the “educated” decided to disreguard his proof. The case Roe V Wade made it possible for women to have an abortion yet when she got pregnant Roe decided that abortion wasn’t right so she had her baby. Funny how things work out for the people that try to change what God did or had in mind. You say this killing babies is getting old, I wonder if thats what the chinese thought when their female babies were killed or how the Jews felt when hitler killed them. God said tho shalt not kill, was he talking about people, all people, or just animals. Some say that God went back and forth because he said do not kill yet he basically was a God of war. War and murder are 2 different things.

“maybe”, you’re really out there! The Chinese have been killing baby girls (after they’re born) for centuries. Now that they can detect the sex of the fetus very early in the pregnancy, it’s possible to terminate the pregnancy INSTEAD of murdering a newborn baby. Neither choice is a good one but we have to defer to “the lesser of two evils” here. I’m NOT talking about pregnancies that are in the second or third trimester. That doesn’t even need to happen anymore because women know they’re pregnant so much earlier now.

As for Hitler murdering Jewish babies? Don’t get me started. You’re comparing THAT to abortion? Disgusting!

The baby is alive from the point of conception so anything after that is murder weither it is in a hospital, clinic or a gas chamber.

Like I said, you’re really OUT there!

I maybe out there but at least I am not a murderer and I don’t condone it either.

That moment at the DNC was a very defining moment for anyone that thought that the Democrat Party was still the old Dem Party that we knew and loved. It isn’t, it’s full of radicals.

John…the teabaggers brainwashed you too!! I thought you were smarter than that comment.

Talk about being biased, The teabagger term is mainly being used by ignorant people. Who needs someone that calls people names all the time? It doesn’t show much character. Maybe you should be called un American and ignorant every time you use the term. Why don’t you stick to substance and leave the name calling on the playground?

Pray to who? He took God out of the DNC platform. When they were forced to put it back in, the no votes for God were louder than the yes votes.

This guy is a fake, he has a plan for this country and so far he has succeeded. He is not a Christian. He wants to destroy our country.

If you are referringto Pres. Obama as he, then he was the one that insisted that God be put back into the platform. I know that God being left out was a big deal to the “christian right”, but the truth is one of the concepts that the USA was founded on was the seperation of church and state. I also believe that it is impossible to be a teapublican and a christian.

Politico reported Dem campaign spokesman told them Obama had seen it before. Do you think they changed it when the polling wasn’t favorable? Notice how Axelrod and LaBolt, (campaign spokesperson) don’t want to talk about it at all anymore or talk about God and Jerusalem? I suppose it would make all the atheists and anti – Israel people in that party mad. Gotta do what your base wants. How did the “mistake” even get made? I think people are more concerned with how these people lie so easily than what the parameters were on religion and state when the govt was formed. I’m worried about people who seem to be brainwashed. Better read both sides of an issue. We are going to need people that can be part of the solutions and who are well informed. There is plenty of blame to go around in both parties for the probs we face.

Happyguy,
After Obama’s talking heads couldn’t explain why God and Isreal were taken out of the platform, it was added back in. Then the delegates voted on it with a resounding NO vote three times! Then the delegates booed God when the chairman said they had two thirds majority in favor of God, when the vote was clearly not if favor.

I am not sorry to have to be the one to correct you on this point Happyguy, this country was NOT founded on separation of Church and State. It was founded by “One Nation, Under God.” The separation of Church and State was so the Government could not establish ONE religion. There is a big difference in what you stated and the reality.
