Mason City man arrested on 2nd OWI offense

CLEAR LAKE – A Mason City man was arrested early Monday morning for second offense operating while intoxicated (OWI).

Justin Paul Risvold, 35, was stopped by Iowa DNR officers in Clear Lake on South Shore Drive just after midnight.  Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s deputies assisted at the scene. DNR law enforcement placed Risvold under arrest for OWI 2nd offense.

Actually, could be considered to be greatest authority, because they are a state agency, and have jurisdiction over land and water.

Maybe they were checking him to see if he was over his limit on fish and found he was over his limit on booze.

Well if they send him to BEJE he can just walk home.

DNR officers are certified police officers anywhere in the state of Iowa.
So are DOT officers. I’m glad they took this stumbling drunk off the roadways.

I thought the DNR only had the right to arrest the people in the boats. Not cars going around the lake.

Was he driving his boat on South Shore Drive?

I bet he’s hoping he’ll get JUDGE COLLEEN WEILAND!!! No consequences with her!!
