SAC CITY – A man was stabbed and yelled for help after his girlfriend attacked him with a knife in this Northern Iowa town and now the allegedly aggressive woman faces a felony attempted murder charge.
On October 22, 2023, the Sac City Police Department responded to a call that a male subject was stabbed and was outside the Sac City Fire Department yelling.
During the investigation, it was alleged that a male subject and his long term girlfriend, 61-year-old Corrina Evans (pictured above), had gotten into an altercation at 607 Leonard Street in Sac City, Iowa. The male subject alleged that during the altercation, Corinna threatened to kill him and then stabbed him. The male subject then left the residence to get help and was later transported to Loring Hospital by private vehicle for treatment.
After an investigation, Corinna Evans was charged and booked into the Sac County Jail for Attempted Murder, a Class B Felony; Willful Injury-Causing Bodily Injury, a Class D Felony; and Domestic Abuse Assault Display or use of a Weapon 1ST Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
This case is still under investigation.
