DAVENPORT, IOWA – An Iowa man was arrested after a pipe bomb blowed up a boat and he now faces arson and other charges.
On June 22, 2022, at approximately 7:57 AM, Davenport Police and Davenport Fire Department Arson Investigators responded to 1712 Spring Street in reference to a pipe bomb that had been detonated inside of a boat.
Through a joint investigation with the QC Bomb Squad, Iowa DCI, FBI, and ATF, Jon Kucharo, 46-years-old, of Davenport, was located and taken into custody in the 1600 block of West 12th Street. Kucharo is charged with Arson 2nd Degree and four counts of Possession of an Incendiary Device.
This incident remains under investigation and no further information was made available at this time.
