U.S. House passes bill requiring background checks on all guns sales

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U. S. House of Representatives passed a bill yesterday to require background checks on all gun sales in the country. This bill is the first gun control legislation to pass since 1994.

H.R. 8 – the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019 – passed the House of Representatives on a 240-190 vote. Iowa Democratic Representatives Abby Finkenauer, Cindy Axne and Dave Loebsack voted in favor of the bill.

However, Iowa Republican Congressman Steve King released a statement following his vote against H.R. 8.

Steve King

“I oppose Speaker Pelosi’s attempt to infringe on the God-given, 2nd Amendment Right to Bear Arms contained within our Constitution. H.R. 8 is a legislative assault on our Constitution that reveals two fundamental truths about Pelosi’s Democrats: they will stop at nothing to take our guns away, and they are complete hypocrites when they talk about the importance of Constitutional governance. Yesterday, Pelosi’s Democrats sought to block President Trump’s efforts to build a wall by invoking fraudulent Constitutional claims against the President’s National Emergency declaration. Today, in order to advance their unconstitutional gun control policies, these same liberal Democrats are completely ignoring the well-established Constitutional protections that Americans enjoy under the 2nd Amendment. If H.R. 8 ever gets to President Trump’s desk, I will certainly encourage him to veto it.”

The NRA, which vehemently opposed the bill, reports that “a second bill, expected to be taken up Thursday, would extend the period federal authorities have to complete a background check before a gun sale can go through. Under current law, if a check isn’t finalized in three business days, the transaction can automatically proceed.”

Both bills face a bleak future, with a Republican-controlled Senate that may not even take up the bills let alone pass either one. President Donald Trump is unlikely to sign either bill.

WE just read that this bill will fizzle – WHY ? The demorats are backing out ! Why ? Because the GOP -THE TRUMP also added that this bill includes ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS . That would give ICE another tool to Deport more of the democraps voting base due to back ground checks for gun sales. Are you tired of winning yet ? HELL NO – Deport and BUILD THE WALL – BARRIER – MOAT OR microwave (G5) technology to fry their azzes.

Will not really accomplish anything. If a person wants a weapon, they will get it. Remember, the weapon doesn’t kill, it is only the tool in the hands of the operator. Like an automobile, a hammer, or a bomb.

PLUS THAT = JOHN HENERY TRUMP AIN’T A GONNA SIGN IT !!!!

Waste of time and they know it. It will never get through the Senate.
