Public notice for flood damaged home debris in Forest City

(City of Forest City)

FOREST CITY – Water damaged household items and debris will be picked up from June 25 thru July 11th by the City crews in Forest City after yet another heavy rain over the weekend. Residents should set all items close to the curb. All smaller items must be put in regular plastic bags or boxes. Please do not use blue plastic garbage bags for this debris.

Bring trees and shrubs to the City Brush pile at the Forest City Light and Power warehouse on Spring Valley Road/Quail Ave.

If you have any questions, contact City Hall at 641-585-3574.

Also, the City of Forest City is asking that anyone who volunteered with sandbagging at the Forest City City Shed or helped out neighbors with flood issues on June 24 contact Val at City Hall (641-585-3574) with your name and number of hours you volunteered. The City will need to supply these hours to FEMA if we are declared a disaster area.
