Two people found dead in Iowa residence

DEWITT, IOWA – Two people were found dead in an Iowa residence  this week after family members became concerned that they were not answering phones.

On Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at 9:45 AM, deputies from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office went to 3750 Highway 30, in DeWitt, Iowa, to conduct a welfare check.

While deputies were at this location, family members came to the residence. They were concerned as both adults that live at the home were not answering their phones.

Deputies gained entry into the home to conduct the welfare check. The bodies of two deceased adults were located inside the residence. Deputies then contacted the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and the Clinton County Attorney’s Office for assistance. The names of the deceased will be released upon completion of an autopsy and notification of family members.

The incident remains under investigation.

So family members came to the house but police won’t release names of deceased until family is notified. Talk about an oxymoron.
