MASON CITY – A North Iowa man displaying violent tendencies and a taste for meth is free right now awaiting sentencing after a judge released him from jail.
Michael Dalluge had been stopped by Osage police in November of 2015 and fled the traffic stop first in his car, then on foot, and tried to hide from the officers. After he was caught with the help of multiple law enforcement agencies, he was taken to jail on a number of charges and later pleaded guilty to eluding and no insurance as other charges were dismissed.
In March, in connection with the above incident and arrest, Osage police accused Dalluge of possession of methamphetamine and felony possession of the drug in a jail. A warrant for his arrest was issued after he failed to appear for an arraignment, and Mason City police rounded him up on April 23. A few days later, he pleaded guilty to the meth possession charge but continues to fight the felony charge. He was soon released from jail and his public defender quit the case. No new court date has been set.
Only a few weeks later, Mason City police arrested Dalluge on a charge of felony second-degree theft. According to Mason City police, on May 18, 2016 at 9:18 AM, a victim reported that Dalluge assaulted her and then stole her money. Dalluge allegedly punched the victim with his fist. The victim and Dalluge knew each other. As a result, police applied for an arrest warrant for Dalluge on a charge of robbery in the second degree. He was arrested in Floyd County and transported to the Cerro Gordo county jail on June 1, 2016. After a guilty plea, Dalluge’s public defender motioned for his release from jail on July 8 and judge Rustin Davenport agreed. Dalluge was released from jail under the supervision of the department of corrections as he awaits a sentencing hearing that does not appear to have been scheduled yet.
Just a few days after Dalluge allegedly punched a woman in Mason City, Dalluge was accused by Nora Springs police of domestic abuse assault and obstruction of emergency communications after an incident on May 26. He was sentenced to 4 days in jail and must pay $240.00 in court costs.

Bad parents that are under 30 and have numerous drug/booze and law trouble should be fixed so this vicious cycle will stop. Just saying
I know this kid. His problem like so many others is he had no structure growing up. He is lazy because no one taught him to work. He sat on his butt and played video games, did drugs and his mom took care of him. He moved in with his girl friend and sat on his butt and let her take care of him while he played more video games, and did more drugs. Now this guy has a baby of his own that he is not caring for. The girlfriend put up with it because that’s how she was raised. Its an on going cycle for some families. How do you fix? I don’t know.
Yep, and now she wants to stop the robbery charges and is running around screaming that he is really a sweet boy. If she gave him a damn consequence maybe he wouldn’t be robbing family for money to get more meth. As a parent you do what’s best for your kids. Enabling him to do this is not parenting. It’s selfish because she does it to make herself feel better.
How ridiculous…another drug/domestic abuser on the loose…white boy (I’m Caucasian) too……serve the consequences!!! He’ll be in the news again if not!! Tired of these abusers being set free!!
