BURCHINAL, IOWA – Friday evening, there were multiple reports of small fires breaking out in the Swaledale and Burchinal area.
The Swaledale Fire Department had many water trucks in use and on standby. They would report in, put out a fire and head to the next.
They remained in the crop area north of Swaledale, making sure no more would start and cause any big damage.
