MASON CITY – A Mason City woman is charged with drunk driving for a second time.
A Cerro Gordo deputy stopped a vehicle at about 1:41 AM Friday morning near 19th Street SW and Pierce Avenue. The driver, 49-year-old Lori Sue Ketchum, was arrested for first offense operating while intoxicated, Driving Under Suspension, and No SR-22 Insurance. She was jailed and then later released Friday.
Ketchum – a convicted felon of a violent crime – was guilty of drunk driving in Polk county back in 2000.
She will just plea bargain down to a 1st offense and get off with a couple of days in jail and a fine. She will lose her license but won’t care as she will just drive anyway.
…this is a “non-story”! It isn’t like anything “really” major is going to happen in relationship between the charges and the court system. She will probably be fined (fine will be suspended) and she might even be given some jail time (but the jail sentence will also be suspended), so what is the point of this story…jus’ askin’?
