DECORAH – A woman was injured after the motorcycle she was riding struck a deer.
Glen Palmer of Waukon was driving his 2004 Harley Davidson Motorcycle northbound on Middle Calmar Road in Winneshiek county when a deer ran out onto the highway. Palmer didn’t have time to avoid hitting the deer, the county sheriff said.
Holly Palmer, who was a passenger on the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to Winneshiek Medical Center. The extent of her injuries was not released.
