IOWA COUNTY – An Iowa man perished after a violent pickup truck crash Sunday on an interstate highway.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, on Sunday, May 3 at about 1 AM on Interstate 80 near the 219 mile marker in Iowa county, 35-year-old Bryant Keith Westfall was driving his 2001 Dodge truck westbound when he lost control. He entered the north ditch and struck a large fence and fence post, causing the vehicle to overturn and roll several times.
The patrol said Westfall was not wearing a seat belt. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
