Man who has possessed meth, marijuana charged with violating probation

MASON CITY – A local man who was arrested for meth possession and charged a week later with supplying drugs to other inmates and later accepted a plea deal is now charged with violating the terms of his probation.

Robert G. Trumble, age 56 is now in the Cerro Gordo County Jail after he turned himself in on July 24th.  A warrant for his arrest had been issued previously when the Iowa Department of Corrections accused him of an undisclosed probation violation.  Trumble is being held on $5,000 cash-only bond as he awaits an August 27th hearing.

Trumble has been convicted of possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, as well as domestic abuse assault causing injury.  He was last arrested in 2012 for possession of meth (to which he later pled guilty) and then charged a week later with supplying a controlled substance to other inmates.  That charge was later dismissed.
