OBIT: Dianne Dee Lee

Dianne Dee Lee, 81, of Mason City, IA passed away peacefully under hospice care on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the I.O.O.F. Home in Mason City. Arrangements are with Fullerton Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. followed by a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Fullerton Funeral Home.

Dianne Dee Lee, 81, of Mason City, IA passed away peacefully under hospice care on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the I.O.O.F. Home in Mason City. Arrangements are with Fullerton Funeral Home.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. followed by a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 2nd St SE, Mason City with Pastor Linda Johnson-Prestholt officiating. Dianne will be laid to rest at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dianne was born on December 9, 1944, in Mason City to Arthur Riekens and Lois (Bemis) Riekens. She graduated from Mason City High School in 1964. On March 10, 1964, she was united in marriage to Carlton “Buck” Lee in Great Falls, Montana and to their union, two children were born. Dianne worked as an in-home daycare provider and homemaker. Over the course of many years, Dianne and her husband, Buck, housed over 30 plus hockey players ranging from the North Iowa Huskies, North Iowa Outlaws and North Iowa Bulls hockey teams. Together they sponsored several high school hockey players and watched many high school hockey games and junior ice hockey games. Dianne and her husband Buck were “snow birds,” and enjoyed going camping in their RV during the Iowa winter months in Texas. Dianne will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Carlton “Buck” Lee; children, Dawyna Ndungu and Allan (Carol) Lee; grandchildren: Shavonda Whitmire, Lebreeze Lowery, Kenzy Lee and Dakota Lee; siblings: Sharron Lunning, Janice Riekens, Judy Hubbard and Sidney Riekens.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James Riekens, Ed Riekens and Norman Riekens.

In expression of sympathy, memorials may be made to the Lee family.
