Ciara Marie Crisman, 15 years old of Dewar, IA, and a sophomore student at Dunkerton High School, Dunkerton, IA, died Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Black Hawk County, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. – Friday, January 16, 2026, at Dunkerton High School gymnasium, Dunkerton, IA. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 15, 2026, at White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Friday at the school in Dunkerton. A private family burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Raymond, IA.

Ciara was born July 28, 2010, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Nicholas J. Crisman and Erica Ann (Widdel) Crisman. She was currently a sophomore student at Dunkerton High School where she was active as a cheerleader and participated in softball. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ciara filled the world with sweetness and laughter.
Ciara is survived by her mother, Erica Crisman of Dewar, and (fiancé Jason Porter); her father Nicholas Crisman of Waterloo; two sisters, Hanna Widdel and Jordyn Crisman; maternal grandparents, Ron and Julie Protsman of Dewar, IA, maternal grandfather Jon “Jack” Widdel of Dunkerton, IA; paternal grandparents, Dorothy Hugill of Waterloo, Don Crisman of Waterloo, IA.
She is preceded in death by maternal great grandparents, Milo and Anita Russell; step grandmother Karla Widdel.
