RURAL BUCHANAN COUNTY – This Northern Iowa woman sloppily placed her Kia Optima in the woods, apparently ripping off the back bumper in the process, leading to speculation that her driving skills are not all that.

On Saturday, December 27, 2025 at approximately 11:40 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in the 1400 blk Jackson Avenue (Hwy 150). According to the investigation, a 2018 Kia Optima operated by Katie Busker of Hazleton was traveling northbound on Jackson Avenue when she lost control of the vehicle, police say.

The vehicle crossed the center line and entered the west ditch where it came to rest.

No injuries were reported.

Busker is a convicted drunk driver, records show.
