GRUNDY COUNTY, IOWA – Two young children and a driver from Illinois were hurt in violent a Northern Iowa auto rollover accident.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on December 21, 2025, in Grundy county along Highway 20. At 7:18 AM that morning, near the 209 mile marker, a 2005 Ford Explorer driven by 24-year-old Dilcia F Hernandez-Morales of Peoria, Illinois, was driving westbound when the vehicle left the roadway to the right. The driver over-corrected and the vehicle entered a ditch and rolled several times. The Explorer came to rest on its top in a farm field.

As a result, Hernandez-Morales and two passengers, aged 7 and 1, were hurt. They were all taken by Grundy Center EMS to an area hospital for treatment.
