DES MOINES — Former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney died on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the age of 84. According to a statement from his family, the cause of death was complications of pneumonia, as well as cardiac and vascular disease.
He died at his home in Wilson, Wyoming, surrounded by his wife Lynne and his daughters Liz and Mary.
Today, Governor Kim Reynolds issued the following statement after the death of former Vice President of the United States Dick Cheney:
“Dick Cheney will be remembered as a remarkable statesman—in Congress and the Executive Branch, in times of peace and war, at home and abroad. Above all, he will be remembered as a patriot, who dedicated his life to the service of his country. Kevin and I offer our sincere condolences and prayers to his family. May he rest in peace.”
