Dead body found at Iowa industrial site

CEDAR RAPIDS – Police in Iowa’s second-largest city are investigating after a dead body was found at a seedy industrial site.

Cedar Rapids Police are continuing to investigate the Friday, October 10, 2025 discovery of an unresponsive 22-year-old male at an industrial site in the 900 block of Ingleside Drive SW. First responders were called to the scene, found the unresponsive male and attempted life-saving care. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Following investigation, the deceased was identified as Fedel Gongloe of Marion, Iowa. The cause of death and circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body are all under investigation.

There is an ongoing investigation, police say, and asked anyone with information to alert authorities.
