
HAWKEYE, IOWA – This Northern Iowa couple is facing numerous felonies after law enforcement descended upon this remote house and discovered plenty of drugs ready to be delivered.
On August 27, 2025, at approximately 1:15 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 234 E Wilbur Street in Hawkeye, Iowa.
During execution, distribution amounts of methamphetamine and marijuana were found and seized. As a result of the riad, 63-year-old Scott Paul Zell of Hawkeye was arrested and charged with the following crimes:
– Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony
– Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana, a Class D Felony
– 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Offense, a Class D Felony
– 2 Counts of Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, a Class D Felony
– Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Being Used-Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony
– Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Being Used-Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor

Also arrested was 53-year-old Gail Anne Williams of Fredericksburg, Iowa, for the following crimes:
– Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony
– Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana, a Class D Felony
– 2 Counts of Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, a Class D Felony
– Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Being Used – Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony
– Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Being Used-Marijuana, a serious misdemeanor
– 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Offense, a serious misdemeanor
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor

Both Zell and Williams were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County Jail, where they await initial appearance.
