Mason City man hurt in Plymouth auto accident

PLYMOUTH - A Mason City man lost control of his Toyota pickup truck in the middle of Plymouth and struck a grain bin, leading to a trip to the emergency room.

PLYMOUTH – A Mason City man lost control of his Toyota pickup truck in the middle of Plymouth and struck a grain bin, leading to a trip to the emergency room.

On July 21, 2025, at approximately 12:57 PM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a single vehicle accident with possible serious injury in Plymouth, Iowa. The sheriff’s office says a beige 1999 Toyota Tacoma driven by 57-year-old Jerry White of Mason City was traveling southbound on Broad Street when the vehicle drifted east off the roadway and struck a grain bin.

As a result of the crash, Jerry White was taken to Mercy One in Mason City for medical attention.

The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Plymouth Fire department, Plymouth EMS, Mason City EMS and Lake Towing.
