Critically Acclaimed Playwright and Actor to Perform at Waldorf for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Forest City, Iowa – Michael Fosberg will perform his critically acclaimed one-man play Incognito at Waldorf College’s Atrium on January 21, at 1:00 p.m. as part of the college’s celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Incognito is a story about discovery and identity. Upon the announcement of his mother and stepfather’s divorce, 34 year-old Fosberg sets out to find a man he never knew: his biological father. With a single phone call, he uncovers his parents’ secret, and his life is forever changed. What follows is an exploration of an unknown family heritage and personal revelations about racial identity and what makes a person who he or she is.

Called “a must-see” by the Windy City Times, Fosberg has been presenting Incognito in theaters, colleges, and schools across the country since 2001.
Each year, the Waldorf Speaker Series Committee invites a speaker to campus to discuss diversity for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. “The committee chose Michael because his story is a different approach to tackling the topic of diversity,” says Amy Woods, Waldorf’s Director of Student Activities and Orientation.

“Plus, we like the performance aspect of Incognito as opposed to a traditional lecture. We are excited for students and community members to hear his story.”

The event is free and open to the public. To learn more about Michael Fosberg and his story, visitwww.incognitotheplay.com
