Marlene Jo Brallier, age 87, of Rockford, IA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City. Arrangements are with Fullerton Funeral Home.
A private family graveside service will be held and Marlene will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Marlene was born on December 12, 1937 in Rockford to Ansel and Viola (Kaiser) Kornegor. She graduated from Rockford High School. On August 20, 1959, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gary Brallier in Blair, Nebraska. The couple would’ve been married 66 years this August.
Marlene and Gary made their home on a farm in Rockford where Marlene became a farmer’s wife and mother to their two children, Daniel and Dawn. She was a hard-worker and enjoyed helping out on the farm with anything and everything. Marlene loved her flowers, gardening and bird watching. She was an excellent cook and baker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rockford. In her younger years, Marlene really liked to go golfing. Above all else, she loved her family and friends. Marlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she absolutely adored spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Gary of Rockford; son, Daniel Brallier and his significant other, Jodi Wendel of Mason City; daughter, Dawn (Linn) Wolf of Charles City; grandchildren: Andrew (Jenna) Brallier, Sarah (Roger) Blickenderfer, Ashley (Luke) Chatfield and Levi (Mercedes) Wolf; several great-grandchildren; brother, Russell Kornegor; sister, Cathee (Jerry) Anderson; sister-in-law, Midge Kornegor and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Donald Kornegor and David Paulus.
