MASON CITY – Area law enforcement converged upon a North End Mason City neighborhood and executed a search warrant Friday, and a convicted felon is accused of gun trafficking and drug crimes.
On April 25, 2025, investigators with the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant in the 1400 block of North Adams in Mason City. RT Harris, age 50, of Mason City, was arrested at the location.
During the investigation, ice methamphetamine, marijuana and a stolen firearm were located.
Harris (pictured at top) was charged by Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Department with:
– Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine a class C felony
– Possession of a Firearm by a Felon a class D felony
– Trafficking in Stolen Weapons a class D felony
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Clear Lake Police Department, Mason City Police Department, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force Tactical Team.
The case is still under investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
