CHARLES CITY – A resident in Charles City called police as they spied a grown male urinating on their lawn, leading to a testy interaction.

According to Charles City police, the incident took place on April 15, 2025. At 8:32 PM that evening, police took a report from a citizen of a male that was allegedly urinating on their lawn. Officers arrived to the 500 block of North Jackson Street and after an investigation, arrested 39-year-old Wyatt Eugene Jacobs of Charles City on the following charges:

– PUBLIC URINATING

– INTERFERENCE WITH OFFICIAL ACTS

Jacobs (pictured at top) was booked into the Floyd county jail at 10:01 PM that evening, and released the next night at 10:14 PM. He immediately took a guilty plea to interference with official acts, and was ordered to pay $347.50 to Iowa courts, via a payment plan.

Jacobs still owes the entire $2,456.25 levied upon him from a 2024 Floyd county second-offense drunk driving arrest by the Iowa State Patrol and conviction in court.
