MASON CITY – The state of Iowa announced it is raining millions of dollars of taxpayer dollars upon small and mid-size manufacturers, and Mason City’s Dimensional Graphics was in line to snare a check.
The state of Iowa’s Manufacturing 4.0 Technology Investment Program says it aims to enhance productivity, efficiency and competitiveness in Iowa’s largest industry. The grants help small and mid-size Iowa manufacturers invest in the adoption and integration of smart technologies. For this fiscal year (2025), 33 companies received funding for a total of $2,016,756 in awards and total project cost of nearly $5.5 million.
Dimensional Graphics Corp., located at 325 North Jackson Avenue in Mason City, was awarded funds through this program, a state document shows. Dimensional Graphics got a $74,000.00 grant toward an alleged $148,000.00 project. There were no other details released about this alleged project.
Award recommendations for the Manufacturing 4.0 Technology Investment Program funds are made by a review committee to the IEDA Board for approval.
In 2012, NIT reported that Dimensional Graphics got $115,000 from NIACOG for a project.
