INDEPENDENCE, IOWA – Law enforcement in this Northern Iowa county announced numerous recent arrests for week of November 10-16, 2024.
On Sunday, November 10, 2024 at approximately 8:00 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Ronald Eugene Utt, 33, of Oelwein. Utt was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at approximately 6:35 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’ Deputies arrested Joshua Allen Chamberlain, 39, of Aurora. Chamberlain was arrested on an active arrest warrant out of Buchanan County for Failure to Appear and held at the Buchanan County Jail.
On Thursday, November 14, 2024 at approximately 2:15 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Charlotte Leigh Stotler, 24, of Sumner. Stotler was charged with third or subsequent offense Operating While Intoxicated/Impaired (class D felony), Driving While License Barred (aggravated misdemeanor), Driving While License Revoked (serious misdemeanor), Driving While License Suspended (simple misdemeanor) and Operation without Ignition Interlock Device (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Baxter Avenue north of Jesup.
On Thursday, November 14, 2024 at approximately 5:55 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Thomas Jeffrey Gall, 18, of Independence. Gall was charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (simple misdemeanor). This arrest was made in the 2100 blk 215th Street.
On Saturday, November 16, 2024 at approximately 6:05 am, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Blake Adam Sackett, 55, of Rowley. Sackett was charged with first offense Operating While Intoxicated/Impaired (serious misdemeanor) and cited for Open Container and Failure to Maintain Control. This arrest was made following a report of a motor vehicle accident in the 2500 block of Nolen Avenue.

On Saturday, November 16, 2024 at approximately 7:00 pm, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Joann Allene Lottie Cacciottolo, 29, of Hazleton. Cacciottolo was charged with Malicious Prosecution (serious misdemeanor) and False Reports to Law Enforcement (serious misdemeanor). This arrest was made following an incident in the 300 block of W Hayes Street in Hazleton.
