Colleen R. (Caldwell) Dyre 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake, Iowa. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Clear Lake- Colleen R. (Caldwell) Dyre 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake, Iowa.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2024, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 11495 265th Street, Mason City, Iowa; with Lay Minister Al Berge of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Clear Lake Fire Department in memory of Colleen.

Colleen was born on October 12, 1930, in Mason City, Iowa, the daughter of George and Louise (Ross) Caldwell. On September 27, 1951, she was united in marriage to James “Jim” Dyre of Rockwell; to this union three children were born, Judith “Judy”, Kathleen “Kathy” and Jay. Colleen enjoyed knitting, puzzles and Ranger rides!

Colleen is survived her children, Kathy (David) Septer, of Hills, Iowa, Jay (Tina) Dyre, of Clear Lake, Iowa; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law Maggie Caldwell of Mason City; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Louise Caldwell; husband Jim Dyre; daughter and son-in-law Judy (Larry) Benson; grandson, Shawn Septer; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley (Rollie) Alitz and her brother, Don Caldwell.
