Kay Gale, age 69, of Algona, passed away on Saturday February 3, 2024 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Private graveside services at Cedar Cemetery in Fonda will be held at a later date.

Kay Gale, age 69, of Algona, passed away on Saturday February 3, 2024 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Private graveside services at Cedar Cemetery in Fonda will be held at a later date. Lentz Funeral Home of Algona is serving the family. Kay Marie Gale, the daughter of Dale and Dorothy (Wahlgren) Ninneman, was born on October 30, 1954 in Sac City, Iowa. She graduated from Sac City High School in 1973. Kay then attended Westmar College in LeMars for year before getting an Associate’s Degree at Iowa Central Community College in dental hygiene.

Kay worked as a personal banker at Northwest Bank in Algona. She was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church in Sac City. Kay enjoyed bird watching, decorating her home and she loved cats.

Left to cherish Kay’s memory is her best friend and partner, Terry Gaedke of Algona; a sister, Marilyn (Ben) Buehler of Lake View; cat, Pumpkin; niece, Erin (Rob) Hoehle of Urbandale; nephew, Brett (Katie) Buehler of Dallas Center; aunt and uncle, Carol and Carl Wahlgren of Rogers, AR; and several special cousins from Texas, California, Minnesota, and Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents.
