COLLEGE PARK, MARYLAND – No. 3 Iowa (21-2, 10-1) defeated Maryland (12-10, 4-7), 93-85, inside a sold-out Xfinity Center on Saturday night.
National Player of the Year candidate, Caitlin Clark, registered her 17th career game with 35+ points, 5+ assists, and 5+ rebounds which is the most in college women’s basketball since 2009.
Clark recorded 38 points, a season-high 12 assists, and six rebounds in tonight’s action. It was her 55th career double-double which is tied for fifth on the Big Ten’s all-time list.
Clark is the only player in the country with 720+ points, 170+ assists, and 150+ rebounds.
Iowa tied a school record in the first quarter with seven threes.
Lisa Bluder picked up the first win of her tenure in against the Terps in College Park.
