IOWA CITY – Kansas State (3-0, 0-0) defeated No. 2/2 Iowa (3-1, 0-0), 65-58, inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Thursday night.

Caitlin Clark led Iowa with 24 points but on just 9-32 shooting. She has netted a 3-point basket in 62 consecutive games which is an NCAA-best.  Kansas State ran away with the game in the fourth quarter, outscoring Iowa by 9 points.

It was Sydney Affolter’s first start for the Hawkeyes in her 60th career game.

No. 2 Iowa is the highest ranked Big Ten foe to ever play Kansas State, besting UI’s fourth ranked squad from a season ago when these teams met.

It was Iowa’s 11th sellout in program history.
