MASON CITY – As a sewer project continues to commence, Mason City offered updates on numerous closed roads in town this week.
Weather permitting, below are the updates and notices of road closures in Mason City for the sanitary sewer repair project.
*1600 block North Washington-road was opened Tuesday
The following roads will open Thursday:
*1300 block North Monroe
*800 block North Tyler
*1200 block 2nd Street SE
*200 block Crescent Drive
*200 block South Jackson-repairs completed, sanitary manhole installed; concrete will be poured and anticipated to be open later this week; Ambulance and public traffic to the Emergency Room will need to take an alternative route.
*600 block 3rd Street NE-just east of North Carolina, closure anticipated for approximately 1 week
*300 block West State Street-near Madison Avenue, closure anticipated for approximately 1 week
Additional closures will be forthcoming as the project continues. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during this time.
