Waterloo men caught in Northern Iowa house raid with illicit drugs, gun and ammo

WADENA, IOWA - A pair of Waterloo men were nabbed when cops invaded a house in this small Northern Iowa town and discovered plenty of drugs, along with a gun and ammunition.

WADENA, IOWA – A pair of Waterloo men were nabbed when cops invaded a house in this small Northern Iowa town and discovered plenty of drugs, along with a gun and ammunition.

On October 2, 2023, at approximately 9:30 PM, a Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested 34-year-old David Chiles (pictured above) of Waterloo. He was arrested on a warrant out of Blackhawk County for Failure to Appear. An investigation led the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office to apply for an additional narcotics and weapons search warrant at the address of 204 E Water Avenue in Wadena, Iowa, where Chiles had been staying.

During the execution of the warrant, methamphetamine, marijuana, paraphernalia, pills, ammunition, and assault rifle were found and seized.

Chiles was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine, first offense, a serious misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, first offense, a serious misdemeanor; gathering were controlled substances are used marijuana, an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Also arrested was 24-year-old Jayden Robe of Waterloo, charged with possession of marijuana, first offense, a serious misdemeanor; gathering where controlled substances are used marijuana, an aggravated misdemeanor; possession of prescription drug, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Both Chiles and Robe were taken into custody and transported to Fayette County, where they were held until initial appearance. Felony weapons charges are pending at this time. Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Iowa State patrol.
