Roger L. Muth, 87, of Garner, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at home.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Roger Lyle Muth, the son of Melvin and Velma (Beery) Muth, was born May 18, 1936, in Mason City. He grew up in Mason City where he graduated from high school in 1954. Roger farmed for a few years and did custom welding in the north Iowa area. He also owned and operated the Red Rooster restaurant in Britt with his first wife, Karen, for a number of years.
Roger is survived by his daughter, Marta (Allan) Eenhuis of Mason City; son, Michael (Moni) Muth of Britt; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred (Linda) Muth of Clear Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bette Muth; sister, Carol Lewis; and brother, Ralph Muth.
