THORNTON – Early this morning, a Garner man was in an auto accident near Thornton and was taken by ambulance to a Mason City hospital.
On Saturday, August 5, 2023, at approximately 1:20 AM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a single vehicle accident at the area of 190th Street and Balsam Avenue. Deputies located a vehicle on 190th Street, East of Balsam Avenue. The vehicle had rolled and was in the north ditch. The vehicle was driven by 20-year-old Colton Steenhard of Garner. The driver was Westbound on 190th, and lost control of the vehicle. He was transported to Mercy North Iowa, by Clear Lake Ambulance.
