Mary Ann (Milberger) Board, 86, of Mason City, IA, passed away July 26, 2023, at Heritage Care Center in Mason City.

Mary Ann (Milberger) Board, 86, of Mason City, IA, passed away July 26, 2023, at Heritage Care Center in Mason City.

A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 AM, August 4, 2023, at the First United Church, Farnhamville, IA. The family will greet guests during the visitation from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Reading Township Cemetery in Farnhamville.

Mary Ann was born September 24, 1936, in Great Bend, KS, daughter of Marvin and Marion (Anderson) Milberger. She and her family moved to the state of Iowa when she was seven. Mary Ann graduated from Lanyon High School. She met the love of her life, Ronald Eldon Board, and they were united in marriage May 7, 1955. Following her marriage to Ron, they moved to San Diego while he served in the Navy. Upon their return to Farnhamville, Mary Ann took care of her family and the home she lived in for over 60 years. She also worked as a cook for Cedar Valley Schools.

Mary Ann was a lover of poodles and greatly enjoyed raising them over the years. She was a talented painter of landscapes and floral designs. She enjoyed taking painting classes with her sister-in-law, Carol. Mary Ann was also a talented seamstress and sewed a number of clothes for her children. She took great pride in maintaining her garden and always enjoyed the beauty in the flowers she grew. Mary Ann had a taste for decorating, always making sure her decor matched the seasons.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Kathy (Steve) Renn, of Mason City, Lyle (Jennifer) Board of Gonzales, LA, Vicki Board, of Waterloo, IA; grandchildren, Kody, Kalli, Hunter, Everett, and Eldon; great-granddaughters, Kayla and Alivia; brothers, Robert Milberger of Gowrie, and Henry (Rita) Milberger of Fort Dodge, IA; sister-in-law, Carol Board of Rockwell City; brother-in-law, Raymond Board of Farnhamville; and her beloved dog Suzie.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Ron; parents, Marvin and Marion; brother-in-law, Roy Board, and sister-in-law, Arlene Milberger.
