Police raid Algona home, nab parolee with meth, seek another suspect

ALGONA - Police raided an Algona home and nabbed a parolee with meth as they seek another suspect.

ALGONA – Police raided an Algona home and nabbed a parolee with meth as they seek another suspect.

On April 12, 2023, the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Algona Police Department, and Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 523 S. Jones Street in Algona. Officers seized numerous items known to be associated with illegal drug use, such as drug paraphernalia, cash and methamphetamine.

As a result of the search warrant, Richard Eugene Folkerts, age 33 of Algona, was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver (Class B felony)

• Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony)

• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misd.)

• A warrant will also be issued for Violation of Parole

Arrest warrants were also issued for Justin Thomas Terwilliger, age 43 of Algona. Terwilliger is charged with:

• Gathering where drugs (Methamphetamine) are used (Class D Felony)
• Conspiracy to deliver Methamphetamine (Class B Felony)

This case remains active and under investigation, according to the Kossuth County Sheriff.
