OELWEIN – Two suspects were arrested after police raided a Northern Iowa house over the weekend.
At approximately 10:09 p.m. on Saturday, April 15th, 2023, the Oelwein Police Department executed a related search warrant at 333 7th Avenue SW in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant, illegal controlled substances were located and seized. The following subjects have been arrested and charged:
1) Brad Everett Drewelow, 56, of Oelwein:
Possession with the intent to deliver – D felony
Possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine 3rd or subsequent offense – D felony
Possession of a controlled substance marijuana 3rd or subsequent offense – D felony
Gathering where controlled substances are used – D felony
Unlawful possession of a prescription drug – Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of drug paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor

2) Gary Roy Wright, 57, of Oelwein:
Possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine 3rd or subsequent offense – D felony
Possession of a controlled substance marijuana 3rd or subsequent offense – D felony

Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail pending an initial appearance. Further charges are pending. The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Independence Police Department K-9 Unit and officers from the Independence Police Department.
