MASON CITY – Police said this morning that Monday night, a male victim was shot and hospitalized in Mason City.
At around 7:55 PM on Monday, November 28, 2022, Mason City police department officers were called to the 300 block of 3rd Street NW for an altercation. Several callers reported subjects fighting and a report of a gunshot was also received. Officers arrived on the scene and found a male who had been the victim of gunfire. The male was transported to MercyOne North Iowa by Mason City Fire medics.
