SHELBY COUNTY – An Iowa man died riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle after crashing into a tractor.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident occurred on September 22, 2022. At about 8:19 PM the evening, 33-year-old Timothy Steven Mcfarland of Emerson, Iowa, was riding a 2001 Harley-Davidson XL883 northbound on Highway 59. A 2005 International tractor operated by 49-year-old Robert Arkfeld, Jr., attempted to pull out from a farm drive, turning into the path of the motorcycle, and a collision ensued.
As a result of the accident, Mcfarland died at the scene from injuries.
