Northern Iowa man stopped by police and caught with meth

KOSSUTH COUNTY – A Northern Iowa man was stopped by police and caught with meth.

On Monday, July 25, 2022, at 07:49 AM, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the 3200 block of College Drive, in Emmetsburg on a 2007 Dodge Ram driven by 42-year-old Joshua Naig of Ruthven. During the traffic stop, the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office found Naig to be in possession of Methamphetamine. Subsequently, Naig was arrested and charged with Driving While Revoked (Serious Misdemeanor), Failure to Display License Plate (Simple Misdemeanor), and Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd offense, (Aggravated Misdemeanor).

Following his arrest, Naig was placed in jail to await his initial appearance before a judge.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg Police Department and the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit.
