College Basketball: UNI’s AJ Green likely leaving program; Noah Carter leaves for Missouri

Green

CEDAR FALLS – Northern Iowa will likely be two of its top players from the past few seasons, as forward AJ Green announces his intention to play professionally or transfer and Noah Carter left for Missouri.

His statement:

After talking with friends and family I have decided to enter the NBA Draft with full intent to pursue my childhood dreams playing professionally.

I will also be entering the transfer portal. This will allow me to gather as much information as I can in order to make the best decision for my future. Returning to UNI will remain an option for me as well.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, coached me, and impacted my life to make me into the player and person I am today. I trust God’s plan for my future and I’m excited for the next step in my journey!

Also, wing player Noah Carter left the team this month and announced he was headed for Missouri.

“I’m apart of a bigger plan… God’s plan. I’m happy to announce my commitment to play at the University of Missouri,” Carter said in a statement.
