NIT photo of soon-to-be-retired logo.  Our good friend will be quietly euthanized by a superintendent mysteriously leaving town in controversy, just like the last lady who lined her pockets with gold wrung from the unsuspecting, duped property tax payers.

  1. If they vote for name change they lawfully have to draw up a petition and have it voted on by parents of each family in attendance it MC high school – if not sue them and fire them p SIMPLE don’t let these mad marxists take over.

  2. Why would anyone want to be associated with native americans in the first place? A bunch of drunken, doped up losers who had nothing to complain about until someone said that their feelings were hurt. Let them rot. Too bad the smallpox infected blankets didn’t do what they were supposed to do.

  3. Until a petition is offered by the school board to each family that has a student enrolled in MSHS and the final tally of said petition is in favorer of a name change they are acting WITHOUT AUTHORITY TO DO THIS ON THEIR OWN. No parent wants a name change or former students- Just more social liberal woke double talk BS. Get rid of these basement dwellers.

    1. The school board could use the approach of the late baseball coach, I remember him saying I can’t make you get a haircut, but guess who passes out the uniforms. Don’t change the name just never use it for anything. In a few years everyone will forget about it and then it can be made official.

  4. I am sure there are thousands of former MCHS students that do not care at all what the mascot is. So now we have to listen to the few that are making some noise.

  5. If you’d ever actually met some native Americans, you would realize they can not be offended. In fact, they themselves are quite offensive. Offer them a check, and their feelings will change. Just a bunch of drunk losers who are all too comfortable with addiction and crime. They should be honored that anyone would want to name their team after their tribe of scoundrels. What about all the county, town and river names around the Midwest that use Indian names? Gonna change them too?
