KOSSUTH COUNTY – An Algona man is dead after a single vehicle crash that happened Friday morning.
On Friday, November 15 at approximately 6:36 AM, the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a single motor vehicle accident in the 2900 block of 150th Ave. east of Burt, resulting in a fatality.
Upon completion of the investigation it was determined that the driver, Steven Michael Schindler, age 57 of Algona, was found unresponsive at the scene. He was then transported by Algona Ambulance to Kossuth Regional Health Center where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.
Assisting at the scene was Burt Ambulance and Fire, Algona Ambulance, Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office also thanked the parties who stopped and offered assistance at the scene.
