Franklin county auto crash injures Webster City man

RURAL FRANKLIN COUNTY – A Webster City man was hurt in a single-vehicle auto crash Saturday in Franklin county.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a single-vehicle accident took place at about 2:53 PM on Saturday, June 1 near the 170 mile marker on Interstate 35 in Franklin county. Duane Moore, age 70 of Webster City, was driving a 2019 Hyundai southbound in Interstate 35 when the vehicle veered into the median and struck the cable barriers and continued until it struck the bridge pier and came to a stop.

Moore, who was wearing a seatbelt, was injured and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Mason City for undisclosed injuries.
