CHARLES CITY – The Floyd County Community Foundation is holding a Grant Awards Ceremony on January 23 to celebrate their 2018 grants recipients. The ceremony will be held at the Youth Enrichment Center on the Floyd County Fairgrounds in Charles City at 6 p.m. Over $102,000 in total grants will be awarded to 20 projects of organizations working to make Floyd County a better place for everyone.

The community is invited to join the Floyd County Community Foundation as they recognize organizations receiving grants through their 2018 grant cycle, and learn first-hand how their projects are impacting our communities.

“The work these deserving organizations do to create a stronger county is critical to making our communities places where everyone can thrive,” said Charlie Newman, Floyd County Community Foundation committee chair. “The Floyd County Community Foundation is proud to be a partner in their work, and we are thankful for the generosity of community-minded people who make this impact possible.”

The Floyd County Community Foundation is a local organization making grants to organizations creating a stronger and more vibrant quality of life in Floyd County and helps people establish permanent funds for the causes they care about in their community.
