MASON CITY – A Mason City man awaits sentencing for felony drunk driving, even as he violated his probation in his previous drunk driving case, landing him in the Beje Clark warehouse for criminals.

A Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Derik James Miller at about 1:17 AM Friday morning, October 13, 2017 near the 1300 block of 4th Street SW. After an investigation, Miller was arrested for felony third-offense operating while intoxicated and no driver’s license. Miller has entered a guilty plea in this case and will be sentenced on June 6.

Miller won’t have far to travel to get to the courthouse, since he is being stored in the Beje Clark revolving door warehouse for criminals at this time. He’s in there due to his violation of probation in his conviction for second-offense operating while intoxicated.
